Yes, vSeeBox is legal in the US. There have been several contemplations regarding the legality of the android TV box since its launch because the features used in the TV box are mainly applicable for mobile phone devices.

However, the company has declared that no one will have to face any legal issues for using the vSeebox. But yes, if you are accessing digital channels without paying for the same, you will have to confront the legal department since streaming anything without having a subscription is a crime.

No, once you purchased the vSeeBox, you can use it with the Heat Apps provided without further charges, that’s why it’s the true Cable Cutter and say goodbye to cable bills!

However, for other apps like Netflix, Hulu or Disney+, you would need your account to use their service. 

Heat Apps, including Heat Live, Heat VOD and Heat VOD Ultra (only available on V2 Pro) are pre-installed apps on vSeeBox. It’s free with 1,600+ tv channels, 80,000+ movies and tv shows. 

You can use it anywhere in the world, you can take it for travelling/road trips as well. (currently no service in China). 

You just need a TV/monitor with an HDMI port and Wi-Fi/Ethernet network connected with vSeeBox. We recommend an over 15 Mbps network with Ethernet for smooth streaming. 

Not compulsory to have VPN to use vSeeBox. If you use 3rd party apps often / need to change the location for a service area with apps like Netflix, we recommend having one. 

Yes absolutely. vSeeBox is highly compatible with the Google Android TV system. We recommend downloading all official apps from Google Play Store to ensure they work properly.

For some 3rd party apps out of the Google Play Store, you can visit the Market on Home Page. We have added some common 3rd party apps in the Market for easy downloading and installation. 

We recommend an over 15 Mbps network speed for a good streaming experience. We also recommend an Ethernet hardwire network over a Wi-Fi network for a stable and fast network.

For VOD, you can adjust the picture quality from high quality to low quality. For high quality, we recommend a 15Mbps network for seamless streaming without buffering. For 4K / UHD VODs in Heat VOD Ultra, we recommend a 25 Mbps network. 

 The Heat Live app supports National, Local, Sports, Canadian, Latino, NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, ESPN+, BTN+, PPV, FloSports etc.

 You can insert a TF card to order to expand the storage. It supports FAT format with 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. However, apps must be installed on the device to use (in Apk file).

vSeeBox supports Over-The-Air updates to keep your device updated. On the 3rd row of the Home Page, select the Software update. You can check if any new updates with Online Update. 

Please visit the Bluetooth section: Home Screen settings row, System settings, and Bluetooth. Choose Pair new device.

To pair the Bluetooth remote, hold both [OK] and [VOL-] buttons until the red light flashes on the remote indicator. Now new device "vSeeBox Remoter" will show there, and connect it. 

Factory reset will erase all data and caches on the vSeeBox. However, you can install the Heat apps back after resetting.

You can find that on: 3rd row home screen - system settings - device preference - reset - erase everything. 

 Please confirm that network has been connected first. You can open YouTube TV and see if any videos can be playing.

If network connected but Heat Apps still not showing on Home Screen, we recommend doing a factory reset if you are experiencing unusual glitching from setup. You can find that on: 3rd row home screen - system settings - device preference - reset - erase everything. 

We suggest shutting it down (power off) if you are not using it. It will release the internal storage and make the box work more smoothly with next usage.

The sleeping mode is for a short period of not using it. The tv box would not be turned off completely for a faster wake-up time. 

Normal EPG
To access Normal EPG, you can open the Heat Live app, on the Live TV screen, you can press “OK” on your remote, and then the Normal EPG will open. In the Normal EPG, you can see there’s a Menu, Channels, Categories, and Channel List. 

Let’s take a look at the Channels part. You can find all the channels by categories on the left-hand side, with National, Local, Sports, Canadian, Latino, NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and PPV sections. You can press the “up” and “down” buttons on the remote to find channels between different categories. Click “OK” to select the channel. 

You can get more information about the channels. Press the “right” button on your remote when you hover over the tv channel, and a new column will show on the right-hand side. It indicates the Program Name, Duration, also with those upcoming events or previous events. You can click the “up” and “down” button to navigate around events and different dates.

Classic EPG
To access Classic EPG, you can simply press the “EPG” button on the remote to call the Classic EPG out. On the Classic EPG interface, you can also find the Channel Logo, Channel Name, Program name, Duration of the current program and program description. It’s in timeline style, and you can navigate between different times and dates. Long Press the “Left” button to switch to different categories. 

For Sports channels, you can find the games, and understand when the game plays easily. Take this NFL game as an example, on the Classic EPG, you can see that before the game starts, it shows “game will start at the specific time”, also 30 minutes before the game starts, it shows “game will be starting soon at the specific time”, and when the game plays, it shows “Team A @ Team B and the time”. 

The EPG system adjusts according to your box Time Zone, and Date and Time setting.

Please check your vSeeBox to see if the Time, Date and Timezone are set correctly. You can visit Home Screen, Settings, Device Preferences, Date & time. If it still shows the incorrect time, please turn off the "Automatic date & time" function, and turn it on again. Then it would update to the correct one. 

You can add channels to favorites to find them easily on your favorite list. There are two ways you can achieve this function.

1st way: 

Long press the “OK” button of your remote while hovering on the channel, white heart icon appears when it successfully added to Favorite List. Vice Versa, long press the “OK” button over the channel again to cancel favorite.

2nd way: 

Click “OK” on your remote, visit the MENU page, and then you can see the Favorite tab. In the Favorite tab, it will list all the tv channels. You can click the “OK” button to select the channel to favorite. Vice Versa, click “OK” again to cancel it from your favorite.

 To check your favorite channels, you can click “OK” on the Live TV screen to call out the Normal EPG. On the left-hand side, there is a tab FAVORITE LIST. You can click and open the channels. 

vSeeBox Heat Live app provides more than 1,000 live tv channels with National, Locals, Sports etc. Instead of rolling around those huge amounts of channels, you can use our Search function to find your wanted channels.

Click “OK” on your remote to open Normal EPG, you can see the search section on the top of channels section. You can search your wanted channel name, by searching part of the channel name or location name, e.g. Telemundo 52 Los Angeles KVEA, you can search “Tele” or “Telemundo” or “Los Angeles” or “KVEA”.

Currently, vSeeBox supports 7 days playback feature for over 50+ Live TV channels, and sports events like MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA and PPV. With the playback feature, you don’t need to record the program manually, you can just navigate inside EPG, select the past 7 days’ program and play. For channels that support the playback feature, you will notice that there is a “Replay” icon beside the name of the channel.

Access Playback from Normal EPG

Click the “OK” button on the Live TV screen to call out the Normal EPG first. Take the BTN Big Ten Network as an example, it supports the 7 days playback feature. Click the “Right” button on your remote to show more details, you can notice that there is a current program indicating “Playing”, and previous program names with duration and a “Replay” icon beside. You can also navigate between the past 7 days by selecting the date on the right-hand side. Now click on any of the programs with the “Replay” icon, and then it will start to stream the playback of the selected program now.

Access Playback from Classic EPG

Click your remote’s “EPG” button to call out the Classic EPG first. It shows the timeline of different programs. You can navigate the past 7 days’ programs, and click “OK” to enter the playback feature.

Functions inside Playback

While watching program playback, you can keep pressing the “Left” or “Right” button on your remote to Fast Rewind or Fast Forward. You can also click the “OK” button to play or pause the program. If you want to exit from the playback, you can press the “Return” button, it will pop-up the EPG, press the “Return” button again and it will pop-up a window asking if you  want to stay in playback or go to Live TV.

For convincing users to access previously watched channels, you can find them in the EPG history section. To delete them, please open Normal EPG, and move to the Menu Page, under the Info, there is a tab “Clear History”. Press the tab and all the watched tv channels’ history records will be removed. 

The network speed display is for users to check their network speed and network connection. To close the speed display, you can press “Menu” on the remote, then click on settings, and turn off the speed display. 

1st way: If there is a new update patch available, there will be a pop-up window to ask if you want to update the Heat Live app. Press yes and it will finish the update automatically.

2nd way: Visit the MENU page, visit the Info page, and click the button “Check Update”.

We keep adding more channels. Please provide us the name of the channels you want to add. For local channels, please also provide the callsigns (Eg. KNBC for NBC 4 Southern California). We will add them within 2 weeks and contact you if been added.

For priority, we will add according to popularity, from Sports > National & Local > Canadian & Latino > 24/7.

It often happens with sports and PPV channels. If there are no live games at the time, those channels will be under maintenance preparing for upcoming events. Please check our EPG for game schedules, or you can check the schedule on relevant sports websites.

For regular channels, sometimes there are emergency checks/tests. Most of those channels will come back shortly. If you notice any of the channels that were down for a while and didn't come back, you can use the Feedback submission to notify us, and our developers' team will check and fix it soonest. 

This feature is only available on the Live Ultra App.

Heat VOD Ultra is an upgraded version of Heat VOD which provides more ultra HD and 4K VODs. We recommend an over 40 Mbps network for streaming 4K contents without buffering. 

 You can use the Search function on the left-hand side of the VOD main page. For example, if you want to search for the movie “Moonfall”, you can search “moon” or “fall”.

When you select and click on any VOD, there are “Play”, “Info” and “Favorite” buttons on the page before you watch it. You can click the “Favorite” button to add it to your favorite. 

You can find the Favorite on the top side of the VOD main page. To cancel a favorite, you can hover over the movie/tv series and press the Menu button on your remote to cancel your favorite. 

Some of our VODs have different quality versions for you to choose from. You can adjust according to your network environment. Press Menu button on your remote during the VOD streaming, in Quality, you can choose High / Normal / Low quality, high quality may up to 4K version.

Some of our VODs have different subtitles even in different languages for you to choose from. Press the Menu button on your remote during the VOD streaming, in Subtitles, you can choose None (for closing subtitles), or subtitles in different languages. 

Some of our VODs have different track languages for you to choose. Press the Menu button on your remote during the VOD streaming, in Track, you can choose English, Español and more according to availability. 

At times, you might endure buffering as a result of high traffic or slow speeds on the internet. If buffering issues are persistent, try holding down the “Pause” button for up to 15 seconds before resuming the movie. This often rectifies the buffering issue.

We also provide the picture quality selection function. You can adjust according to your network environment. Press Menu button on your remote during the VOD streaming, in Quality, you can choose High / Normal / Low quality, high quality may up to 4K version. 

If you are experiencing all channels showing down for maintenance, we recommend doing a factory reset. You can find that on: 3rd row on home screen - system settings - device preference - reset - erase everything.
